This album is so rare that most people don't even know that it was done. It is commonly known that there are MFSL UHQR's, but this one has remained something of a secret.

This fantastic album was recorded by Keith Johnson on New Years Eve, 1957, in a small club setting. He used a custom made, tube 3 channel stereo tape deck. It was one of the very first made. He used 3 Altec mics, and recorded it as a live club performance. It was mastered by Doug Sax, and pressed on Japanese virgin vinyl. Half speed mastering was by the late, great Jack Hunt at JVC, and of course pressed by JVC in Japan on 220 gram, UHQR virgin vinyl.

The gatefold jacket is still in beautiful crisp condition with no splits or noticeable wear. There is a small corner bump at the upper left. The record is pristine with no marks or scratches. It looks like there might be one very small spindle mark on one label. It is as close to new as you are likely to find. The original booklet that explains the UHQR process is included. .................................................................................................
