PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. The BeatlesLeaving festivals like Woodstock and Monterey aside, there is no more famous gig in rock & roll history than when The BEATLES played Shea Stadium in front of 56,000 mostly teenyboppers on August 15th, 1965. It is a gig one might even term infamous, for all of the misunderstanding it has generated over the years, with one old saw after another getting parroted in the various histories of rock.
If you've seen the footage, you know that the Beatles were positioned on a rickety stage on an infield diamond, with the screams raining down from all directions. The band laughs maniacally, exchanges "shit, can you believe this is happening?"
Lennon remarked that he wrote two honest songs in his life (— which is not true, but never mind —) one being "Help!", the other "Strawberry Fields Forever," and while no one would associate the madness at Shea with the studio wizardry of late 1966, there is a likemindedness at play, and even a sonic likemindedness, too. And that starts with the voice, which is not like the voice of just a year before. That voice cuts A-to-B straight-line style to the soul, a not very mistakable sound, just as the Shea line tape asserts itself as a live album that could have thrown elbows for some space on that top shelf of Beatles recordings.
At Shea the Beatles dressed a sort of proto-Pepper part, with the military regalia. The line version of "Help!" has special resonance, for here is a man in Lennon staring into his latest abyss in life and singing about that abyss while being all but worshipped by the largest crowd in rock history to date.
The irony would not have been lost on him, and for all of the joy at this performance — there's little doubt that once they adjusted to the surreality of the event, the Beatles were having a good time — this is the great howled blues moment, a confessional hymn cloaked in the three-part disguise of a major key, peppy drums and exciting George Harrison lead guitar lines.
At 9:27 pm, the Beatles finally took the stage and proceeded to play eleven songs: "Rock And Roll Music", "She's A Woman", "If I Needed Someone", "Day Tripper", "Baby's In Black", "I Feel Fine", "Yesterday", "I Wanna Be Your Man", "Nowhere Man", "Paperback Writer" and "Long Tall Sally".Lasting between 30 and 40 minutes per show, the typical set list was as follows (with lead singers appropriately noted):

Note the songs are mainly from their (then) last two albums, BEATLES - VI and "Help!" which was newly released. "Help!" b/w "I'm Down" was their latest smash hit 45 at time of this show.
CONDITION: The cover: rated: M- TOP COPY ... one of the BEST (ever) copies of the original release...NO wear on the white cover (a miracle!) ... legendary TMOQ logo sticker at top right...it's flat & square with 4 sharp corners and NO wear!!! Thick WHITE cover with blue block print is highly collectible condition after 45 years -- there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... VERY collection worthy ...
