Here’s a rarely seen record on Liberty’s short-lived Jazz Series – the 6000 number set – and this one’s 6012. It’s Red Norvo back with a new group and a swingin’ sound on the vibes.

The combo here are; Red Norvo - Vibes Jack Montrose - Tenor Sax, Clarinet and Flute Robert Drasnin - Flute Bill Kosinski - English Horn Bill Dillard - Guitar Gene Wright - Bass and Bill Douglass - Drums

This was recorded in Hollywood, California, May 21st and 28th, 1956. This is an original pressing with the deep groove record and turquoise labels.
