Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder’s studio on November 15, 1957, this session features Red Garland on piano, John Coltrane on tenor, Donald Byrd on trumpet, George Joyner on bass and Arthur Taylor on drums. I have rated this LP as NM (NEAR MINT) due to the following reason. The vinyl is completely clean with one very slight scuff on Side A, Band 1, which does not interfere with play. There is no sign of wear around either side of the spindle holes. The cover is in near mint condition, with the exception of some slight discoloration on the liner notes. If it was not for that one mark on the vinyl, this would be M-. The LP comes in its original glassine sleeve.
