Description

Here is a record so classic, eulogized so often in print, it would be impertinent of me to recommend it: "RECKLESS BLUES" and "SOBBIN' HEARTED BLUES" by Bessie Smith, "The Empress of the Blues." Accompanied by Louis Armstrong on trumpet and Fred Longshaw on pump organ.  Bessie's magnificent voice.  Louis' exemplary trumpet.  And Fred Longshaw, the most overshadowed sideman in jazz history. 

This "Flag" Columbia 14056-D is in splendid E condition.
