Description

This is an ORIGINAL 1950 RCA VICTOR 45 RPM INTRODUCTORY ALBUM BOX SET including fourteen of the very first 45 RPM records ever issued, shortly after the format's introduction by RCA in 1949.  The set includes an original green vinyl copy of Eddy Arnold's 'Texarkana Baby', considered to be the very first 45 ever issued.  Two of the 45s included in this box set are pressed on green vinyl, three each on red and blue vinyl, and six on black vinyl.  This set includes all fourteen of the 45s that were originally included in this box set, but unfortunately the RCA Victor 45 RPM catalog that was originally included with this box set is missing and not included.  As I understand it this box set was given away with the purchase of an RCA Victor 45 RPM record player.  Records come packaged inside the box in their original RCA Victor stock company sleeves.
Here are the individual RCA Victor catalog numbers and artists for each of the 45s included in this set - Please reference each individual catalog number on the Discogs site for more information on each individual record:

On green vinyl:

48-0001 Eddy Arnold

48-0004 Sons of the Pioneers

On red vinyl:

49-0132 Arturo Toscanini

49-0201 Allan Jones

49-0527 Boston Pops

On blue vinyl:

52-0021 Al Goodman

52-0022 Al Goodman

62-0071 Perry Como

On black vinyl:

47-2798 Tommy Dorsey / Tex Beneke

47-2799 Freddy Martin / Vaughn Monroe

47-2800 Wayne King /  The Three Suns

47-2811 Sammy Kaye

47-2853 Glenn Miller

47-3049 Tony Martin

Condition of the records in this set ranges from VG with a feelable surface scratch (I believe there is only one record in this category) up to a SOLID NM (the great majority of the records are in this category).  The 47-2811 record has a small bump in the play surface on both sides of the record - I have play tested both sides of this record, this will cause a light non-distracting background bumping sound in the affected area on those songs, no skips.  RCA Victor stock company sleeves are in nice crisp condition with maybe a very few scattered slight wrinkles.  Condition of outer box is a low VG+ with the top cover still fully hinged to the bottom box, and with one torn corner on the top cover.  Gold print on the front cover is faded, and box has a little contact wear and a little wear along the edges and on the corners.

This historic vintage box set would be a choice cornerstone addition to any 45 record collection where the specialty is the history of the 45 RPM record!  $5.00 SHIPPING via USPS Media Mail.  Shipping to areas outside the U.S. via eBay international shipping.   BUYER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the entire set in the above stated condition if buyer is dissatisfied for any reason.
