Description
An original UK issue from 1960. Alexander Gibson conducts New Symphony Orchestra of London. Side one contains 1. Overture to "Tam O´Shanter," Op. 52 (Arnold), 2. Gnomus from "Pictures at an Exhibition" (Mussorgsky - Ravel) and 3. Night on a Bare Mountain (Mussorgsky - Rimsky-Korsakov). Side two contains 1. Danse Macabre, Op. 40 (Saint Saëns), 2. Witches´ Ride from "Hansel und Gretel" (Humperdinck) and 3. Mefisto Waltz (Liszt). The record is clean on both sides, with no surface marks. It also plays fine, there is no surface sound to be heard, on either side. There are spindlemarks on the disc, however, indicating that the record has been played a few times. The cover is fine, as well, with only few minor creases on the front. The record comes in the original inner sleeve. Shipping is $10 for Europe - $15 for other continents.
