Please note: for proper balances on playback, 2-track tapes must be played on a 2-track machine. Playback on a 4-track machine will not give proper weight to the channels and may not be satisfactory.
The first reference I have found to this 2-track tape comes from an advertisement in the May 1956 issue of High Fidelity. These recordings were made in mono only - there were never any stereo issues in any format (except in fake “electronic stereo,” briefly, on 4-track tape - Mussorgsky only - and LP). The 1958 RCA Tape Catalog was the last one to include monaural tapes at all.
The tape is in excellent condition; the box shows only slight shelf wear.
