Description
RAY SMITH AND PATT CUPP - self titled - Crown CST 364. Stereo.
A very scarce Rockabilly LP, with 5 cuts by Ray Smith on 1 side, and 5 cuts by Pat Cupp on the other side. The Pat Cupp cuts (some of which appeared on 45's on the RPM label, which was related to this Crown label), include some of the greatest scorching rockabilly ever put out, including: "Long Gone Daddy", "Do Me No Wrong", "I Guess It's Meant That Way". I believe that the "Long Gone Daddy" & "Do Me No Wrong" cuts on this album differ, and are better than the versions which came out on 45 rpm. The other 2 Pat Cupp songs are "Baby Come Back" & "That Girl of Mine".
The Ray Smith cuts, which feature a great rockin Elvis sound, are: "Rockin' Little Angel", "Makes Me Feel Good", "I'll Be Coming Home", "That's All Right With Me", & "Little Miss Blue ".
NOTE - the 1st 2 photos with this listing each show a different portion of the front cover. (Done on a scanner, so no room for the entire cover at time!).
The vinyl is VG+ (could be graded at Mint Minus).
The cover has a piece of tape over the top edge and left edge, closing seam splits in those areas. There is also an approx. 3-1/4" seam split at the top right. Front cover has ring wear.
