Description

This is the Ray Charles LP titled “What’d I Say” on the Atlantic Records label catalog number 8029, in mono, first released in 1959. This record includes both Parts 1 & 2 of the big hit “What’d I Say” as well as nine additional Ray Charles popular early recordings including “What Kind Of Man Are You” and “Rockhouse – Parts 1 & 2”. This record also features the legendary tenor sax player David “Fathead” Newman as part of Ray Charles’ band.

All records that I have for sale are from my personal collection and were purchased new and played exclusively on a high end turntable.

This 57 year old record was pressed on extra thick vinyl. It is in excellent condition with only a few marks on the surface which cannot be felt. The record makes typical stylus on vinyl sounds, some minor occasional clicking and a few light pops but overall is a great sounding record. The labels are in excellent condition.

The outer jacket is in excellent condition with only barely visible minor edge wear at the opening. All seams are solid. This jacket is suitable for framing. The original printed Atlantic Records inner sleeve is included in excellent condition (see pictures).

I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.

Shipping to the USA will be via USPS Media Mail.
