RAY BOURBON You're Stepping on my Eyelashes! 1952 UTC 2 VINYL: VG looks & plays a quite decent VG, various pops etc here & there but as it is spoken word and there is never a problem hearing or understanding. The background sound did not detract much at all from my enjoyment. SLEEVE: VG+ no splits

Ray Bourbon had a show business career as a comedian and female impersonator that spanned over fifty years, well into an era when Gay liberation would take shape. He was perhaps the most well-known and well-traveled performer in Gay venues during the last century, but he remains largely forgotten today, his comedy both a glimpse into and a relic of another time. "You're Stepping on My Eyelashes" was recorded and released in the 1950s and was the second album self-published by Ray on the UTC (or "Under the Counter") label. The album; sold at Bourbon's nightclub dates, via mail order, and in select record shops; consists of studio versions of some of Ray's popular nightclub songs. This LP was supposedly issued in approximately 1952
