This is the ultra rare MISPRINTED record of Beethoven's Symphony Nr.3 "Eroica", played by the VPO, conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler !
THE MISPRINT IS SHOWN ON THE FRONT AND BACK SIDE OF THE COVER !
IT SAYS :
Symphonie Nr.3 in Es-Dur, OP.54 ("Eroica") (instead of op. 55, which is written correctly on both labels on the record itself)
Released in the 50s on the EMI Nipper Dog label in Germany, catalogue number : WALP 1060
with the rare golden square on the label !
Record is in VG++ condition, shows only some very thin hairline marks that do not affect the playing
Original fold out cover is in VG+ condition, shows some minor ring wear on the back side, has a small 1/2 inch tear at the lower margin and a large 3 inch tear at the attached inside inner sleeve. Otherwise no damage at all.
Overall in very good shape considering its age of 50+ years
