This is one of a number of records that I have for sale at the moment so please take a look at the others on my eBay shop, Past-Times Records and Collectables.   Description: - For sale a rare original UK Mono album from the prog’ rock/psych group Deep Purple titled ‘Shades Of Deep Purple’, this is the earliest issue of this their 1st album, please refer to the photos.    This is the holy-Grail of all Deep Purple records!   This is the one every Deep Purple Collector wants in their collection.  This Mega-scarce 1968 UK Mono 1st pressing of this absolute psych progressive rock classic 'Shades of Deep Purple', matrix numbers XEX 689-1 & XEX 690-1.  This is the massively rare original Parlophone Records Mono UK 1st press on the original 1st press Black/Yellow Parlophone labels.  It was pressed in miniscule amounts in the UK back in 1968 as Deep Purple were a then an unknown band.  The 1st press Mono run was absolutely tiny and numbered in the hundreds only, and of those there are not many left today.  It was later repressed and issued on Parlophone in the more common Stereo format (YEX) which is still very rare and often commands a price well into the hundreds. However, to have this on Black Yellow Mono is the Holy-Grail.  Now if that wasn't good enough, here for the special bit - this vinyl is in impossible *Excellent+* condition. You will be hard pushed to find a better example of this rare record. This has the correct 1//1 matrix endings and comes complete with the mega rare front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve. This is a seriously rare album that just never shows up anymore here in the UK.  Do not underestimate the rarity of this album.  Finding this record is virtually impossible nowadays.  You will not see another copy of this record for a very long time, and you may never see another in this condition, if there are any left like this today you can bet they are locked up in serious collections and will probably NEVER see the light of day again.  This record, like all my other rare offerings, will be very securely packaged so you will receive it exactly as you see it now. It contains the Awesome 'Hush", "Mandrake Root" and the original "Hey Joe" (even better than Hendrix' later cover) this is Deep Purple at their Psychedelic best - do not miss this record!!! Label: - The record is on Parlophone Records, catalogue number PMC 7055, this is an original UK release from ©1968.   Condition: - The condition of the record is as follows: - A side EX+ condition; B side EX+ condition; Sleeve EX condition, slight mark on the front right where a sticker one was. Labels are nice & clean. This would make a lovely addition to any ones collection.
