Description

I have up for auction a record (One Sided 7" 78) on the black embossed ZONOPHONE RECORD (National Gram-O-Phone) label; very early 1900s, probably 1900-1901 era. It is #G9108 and information is actually etched into the label! It is by Samuel Siegel, Mandolin Solo, sounds like piano accompaniment; selection is entitld "The Pixies Dance". Difficult to grade this one, as the surface is wavy/bumpy and has a roughness that creates a lot of surface noise. The record is in very good condition, not overly worn and scratches are few, light and mainly surface variety; plays fairly well, some surface noise but not overbearing; some ticks near the end. Impressive collectible from well over 100 years ago!
