Description
HOLY COW, THIS RARE JAZZ LP WILL MAKE A SIMPLY FANTASTIC ADDITION TO ONE'S COLLECTION OF JAZZ VINYL !
This Vinyl LP album is entitled " The Original Jazz Score of Kwamina " as played by The Billy Taylor Orchestra and was released in 1961 by Mercury Records (MG 20654). This is the white label "PROMO" vinyl in the MONO format. One will not find a cleaner vinyl of this rare DJ version which appears and sounds like a DJ never got around to putting on a turntable. We rare the vinyl condition as a strong NEAR MINT (NM) using Goldmine standards. Increasing the collectability of this album is the included original 1961 Mercury inner sleeve that features mostly other LPs of time (mostly Jazz). This inner is also in NM condition (none of the common edge slits).
The outer laminated outer jacket featuring cover design by Thomas Gorman would be an outstanding candidate for framing if one is so inclined. Only defects noted to this fine jacket is some some minor softening at corners, 2 very minor past water stains along inner edge of back cover and very minor chipping at lower outer edge of back cover. Also album collection # sticker on upper right back cover (see all photos). We rate this jacket with great as being in overall EXC condition. Overall we have here a COLLECTOR CONDITION jazz album that will knock one's socks off once one listens to the amazing jazz this vinyl produces!
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated during shipment to help guard against seam damage to the outer jacket.
