RARE VINTAGE BEATLES BOX SET OF 25 VINYL SINGLES

I will be selling off my dad’s record collection over the next couple of weeks. It was mostly bought in the 60s/70s. All his "collectable" records were hardly ever played, and some were never played at all – he just liked to own them & collect them, bless him.

This auction is for a fabulous vintage box Set of 25 seven inch Beatles singles in the original sleeves & box. This Beatles box set was purchased by my father back in the early seventies, and contains Beatles singles from 1963 – 1970, plus “Woman” by John & Yoko. The records have been played, but not much. Dad already had the albums anyway, but just wanted a singles collection to put on the shelf (actually in the attic!).

Generally the records are in excellent condition, although a few have tiny marks or scuffs, a few of the labels show slight spindle marks where someone couldn’t locate the centre hole, and some are a bit dusty, but that’s about it. None of them has bad scratching or warping, or mould or anything nasty like that – the attic was kept warm & dry. The box has suffered a little damage from long storage, the worst of which is a dent to the top surface of the lid, but is still sound and can be seen in the photos. Also, at some point Dad has placed either a tick or a dot to each of the sleeves on the upper left corner – some kind of indexing system probably (?). I’ve played a few of the records to test them and they sound absolutely perfect, although on my modern hi-fi system it’s clear that recording quality was not as good back in those days. All in all, for records that are getting on for 40 years old, these are in superb condition.

NOTE: The user bakolenet has pointed out that the single "Woman" does not
belong in this box set as it was issued too late & was released by Lennon alone
(see message below). I have checked the listing and he is absolutely right. The full
complement of singles is the 24 listed in the ad & the extra one must have been
added later by my father. However, all 24 original singles are there and since the
extra has already been advertised I will leave it in place in the auction as a bonus.
