  • I use the Goldmine Price Guide to determine the grade of all my records! :::::
  • I strive to grade all records as accurately as possible ::::::
  • The following is Goldmine's description of our grades!
  • NRMT (M) = No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits; nothing! Near Mint ::::::::
  • (NM) = A record that is otherwise Mint but has one or two tiny, inconsequential flaws that do not affect play!::::::::
  • VG+ TO VG++== MEANS A COUPLE SPOTS WITH MINOR SURFACE NOISE OR SCRATCHES THAT DON NOT AFFECT PLAY:::::::
  •  Very Good Plus (VG+) = Record has been handled and played either infrequently or very carefully. That is an item obviously not perfect, but not too far from it. On a disc, this could mean that there are light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl may have lost some -not all- of its original luster.warps are okay:::::::
  •  VG TO VG+ ==NOT ENOUGH SCRATCHES FOR VG, BUT A FEW MANY TO BE VG+:::::::
  • Very Good (VG) = Records will display visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear, and spindle trails form countless spins on the turntable. A VG record looks like it will have some audible surface noise when it is played, although any such noise should not overwhelm the musical experience.::::::
  • (G) GOOD--MANY SCRATCHES AND SURFACE NOISE BUT NO SKIPS!!!
  •   I ADDED VG TO VG+ AND VG+ TO VG++ BASED ON THE GOLDMINE STANDARDS::::::
