Description
Up for sale folks is a rare copy of Yesterday and Today by The Beatles. This is a mono press, number T-2553. The back of the jacket has a #6 near the RIAA symbol identifying it to be pressed at the Los Angeles plant. This is a true Butcher second state as as you can see the ghostly image of Ringo on the lower right corner. His black V neck is super vibrant and very noticeable. This was in a wood record frame and was on display for many years until very recently. The frame is not included in this auction to keep shipping prices lower.
Lets talk about condition. Sleeve is a more standard grade of VG+ and when I say this I guarantee it. The jacket has no splits but has some light corner wear. On the cover near the bottom left, a slight tear is present where someone must of got curious and peeled a very small section to see if they had a real past-over. Some slight ring wear is also present and should be noted. That being said, this is a nice copy, but is not perfect. Pictures do speak volumes for the jacket. Alright, now the record. Folks it does have a few marks and hairline scratches but isn't terrible. Matrix reads T-1-2553-G-22 on side one and T-2-2553-G-18 on side two. The label has very light spindle lines from use. The record grades in at VG but plays very, very well and with very minor background noise.
This gem of a record has NO RESERVE and will be shipped USPS Priority Mail in the US and eBay global shipping program for international buyers. This will be properly packed in a heavy duty LP mailer, and placed into a large oversized box. Not shipped in some fimbsy mailer. Bid high, bid with confidence as this is a stunning piece of rock 'n' roll history! These second state copies are getting harder and harder to find as more and more are being peeled.
