Description

The Beatles "SOMETHING NEW" LP. Still sealed in original shrink wrap with breath holes.
1964 stereo pressing on Capitol Records. ST 2108.
The fact that this sealed album contains an original 1964 pressing is evidenced by:
a) The manufacturing number of "2" appearing to the left of the RIAA symbol on the back cover. The Scranton plant used this designation up through 1967. Therefore, the album inside cannot be the later-issued "subsidiary" rim print label from 1968 and 1969. This indicates that a 1964-pressing is enclosed within.
b) The "needle damage" text appearing on the back cover. This rules-out an issue post-1967. This indicates that a 1964-pressing is enclosed within.
This sealed album is CRISP and CLEAR. Shrink wrap is tight. There are no apparent tears at any of the seams -- quite amazing given the age. Appropriate "breath holes" are evident on the front and rear. Letter "D" pricing stamp appears on back cover. Bottom right-hand corner has the tiniest 'push'. Some 'browning' evident on that same corner, but only on the back. Further, that corner just barely pushes-through the shrink.
This is an absolutely gorgeous piece -- just like a record store would have sold it in July of 1964!
Bid with confidence!
