Description

Exceptionally rare UK 4th pressing of The Beatles “Please Please Me” from 1963.

This is the very first UK pressing on the Yellow and Black Parlophone label. It doesn’t have the small 33 1/3 and doesn’t have the “Recording First Published” text either.

Very rare ZT tax code on side 2 label.

Flip back Ernest J Day sleeve

Matrix numbers / mothers / stampers:

Side 1: XEX 421-1N 1 MR

Side 2: XEX 422-1N 4 MP

The vinyl grades visually VG+ to EX. A few light scuffs and marks (non feelable) and a small non feelable scratch. It has been fully play tested and play and plays with superb audio throughout EXCEPT for ONE SMALL next groove SKIP on side 2, track 3 “Baby It’s You”. It is caused by a small scratch running in the same direction as the grooves. This is the only defect in the sound that I could hear. A couple of tiny crackles on run ins at most. The rest of the album plays perfectly with no background noise, no pops, clicks, sticks or jumps. The spaces between tracks are silent. Except for the one skip it plays beautifully with perfectly clear audio.

The sleeve is VG+ due to some sellotape residue on the rear. There are no other issues and it looks great apart from that.

The EMITEX inner has a name which has been erased with tip ex. No other issues VG+

This is a real and genuine rarity 3rd UK pressing. Please see photos!
