We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE! Hard to find - seldom see, we haven't had a clean copy for ages ...

ORIGINAL 1965 first pressing in glorious booming punchy MONO... a mid 60's teen-beat sensation, the Strangeloves rode to the top of the hit charts with their timeless smash "I WANT CANDY" ...the album is filled with primitive garagey beat rock that was very influential to bands like The Stooges, Velvet Underground, and so on ...listen to "NO JIVE" it's very close to "1969" the lead off track on the first STOOGES album....the Strangeloves started as an attempt to muscle their way onto record surveys and radio play lists in the wake of the British Invasion pop music phenom. Once the Beatles opened the floodgates for an across-the-pond sonic sortie ...Guided by the age-old axiom "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em," the Strangeloves wrote deliciously lascivious lyrics and voilà, had their first and highest charting (number 11) side in "I Want Candy". This was followed by the R&B-infused "Cara-Lin," another success that was based on a gritty guitar riff lifted from the Routers' "Let's Go." Their other Top 40 venture came in the form of the harder punk-ish "Night Time," sounding more like a lo-fi garage band than skilled and seasoned pros. The infectious groove resulted in a bluesy attitude-laden rocker whose incessantly pumping rhythm was punctuated by a thin gnarly electric guitar and adeptly executed vocal harmonies in the chorus. When the dozen-track I Want Candy album was released, it included garagey remakes of the Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "Willie and the Hand Jive," and "New Orleans," which had been a hit for Gary "U.S." Bonds.

Enthusiasts and collectors will want to take note that "Night Time" is the full-length version can be only be found here. It was edited for the 45 by nearly a minute. That rendering also is located on Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968.
