RARE THE COWSILLS Indian Lake, Newspaper Blanket Picture Sleeve Only MGM Description

THE COWSILLS Indian Lake, Newspaper Blanket Picture Sleeve Only MGM **** PLEASE ALLOW scan to load ****

THANK YOU FOR PLACING YOUR BID EARLY!

ARTIST: The Cowsills

TITLE: Indian Lake / Newspaper Blanket (Picture Sleeve Only)

LABEL: MGM 13944, 1968 release

COMMENTS: The record is common, but that's not the case for the original picture sleeve. It's hard to find one of these in nice shape, since the fan club coupon was on the back of the jacket... and most of the kids who bought this tore that giant coupon out!

FORMAT: **** NOTE This is a Picture Sleeve ONLY for a 45 rpm (record not included)

PICTURE SLEEVE CONDITION: Front side is VG+ or better, a 2" stress crease, some light fingerbends mainly along top edge. The back side is mostly VG+ or better, a few light fingerbends/light smudging.

MY GRADING SCALE: Picture Sleeve

NM (Near Mint) - Like new, may have some very minor blemishes

VG++ - A bit more wear than NM, enough that I wouldn't want to call it NM, actually as in my record grading I probably won't use NM very much, more than likely if it is NM I may call it VG++

VG+ - Minor wear, might have some very light creasing, might have some very minor seam wear or a split at bottom of sleeve, the sleeve's most vulnerable location

VG - More signs of handling, may have more creases, obvious ringwear in center of sleeve and this might reflect both sides, may have more seam splitting and could be on all 3 sides, might have some light rubbing or rubbed areas, might have some very small tears at edges (especially at top edge), may have some writing on it, etc. Expect any or all of these flaws in this grade. The sleeve probably won't have ALL of these flaws but please expect some of them.

G+ - Not quite a VG but better than a G grade, will show more signs of wear than those listed for a VG

G - Will have much wear but will not be totally trashed out. You may be able to treasure this out of pity alone.

POOR/FAIR - A tremendous amount of wear, may have heavy rubbing/ringwear, may have large tears and much seam splitting, may have very unsightly writing on it, may have punctures and wounds from the battle for survival (but hey, it's still here), you probably won't be able to hold back the tears on this one, as you hold it in your trembling hands, for you may have never seen anything quite as ugly and pitiful looking as this "thing." Someone may want this as a filler or for it's rarity. Again I will only list a sleeve in this condition if it is scarce or rare.

COMMENTS: See scan for details.
