Description
This is a nice promo copy of promotional EP by The Rincon Surfsude Band (Dunhill #D-1). This EP is a sampler of songs from the LP "The Surfing Songbook," featuring instrumental covers of hits by The Beach Boys and Jan & Dean. Features P.F. Sloan on a reverb-drenched guitar. Also features session legends Hal Blaine, Joe Osborne, and Larry Knetchel. Also has some Steve Barri involvement.
A side has a sample of three songs: "Drag City" "Hawaii" and "Surfin' Safari."
B side has a sample of 5 songs: "Surfer Girl" "Honolulu Lulu" "Little Deuce Coupe" "Ride the Wild Surf" and "Surf City."
This is a promo EP for the album "The Surfin' Songbook." Oddly, the photo of the album cover that can be seen on the EP sleeve indicates that the artist is Willy and the Wheels, not the Rincon Surfside Band. By the time the LP was actually released, the artist was changed to the Rincon Surfside Band. There is no band named Willy and the Wheels.
Record is in EX condition. Beautiful thick, heavy vinyl, with high gloss. Labels are clean with no writing, stickers, or tears. Comes housed original Dunhill factory sleeve. Original picture sleeve is included. It has some minor wear, but writing, stickers, or tears. This sleeve is in VG to VG+ condition.
