PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Jimi Hendrix 'Wink Of An Eye' was indeed Jimi's last concert appearance, recorded at the Love And Peace Festival, on the Isle of Fehmarn, September 6th 1970. Mitch Mitchell on drums and Billy Cox on Fender Bass. The title 'Wink Of An Eye' is taken from Jimi's last poem.
Anyone who has read the events of Hendrix last concert at the Isle Of Fehmarn knows that he played under extremely dire conditions. A raging gale blowing in from the Baltic Sea delayed this show one day after he was to appear, totally pissing off the audience and putting everyone in a horrible mood witnessed by the screams of "Go Home" scattered among the booing. Playing in intermittent driving rain, constant wind, and fighting among a wet,stoned out crowd also being hassled by German Bikers, Jimi still shows flashes of brilliance but all in all you can sense he wanted to get the hell out of there. Sound-wise, this is a orivate audience recording. Drums are hard to hear, and upfront are the high register guitar leads and vocals. The band is in good form, however, and if you listen close, before they start "Killing Floor," Hendrix does a quick pass at "Louie, Louie" which is kind of funny. The songs are diofferent versions of "Hey Joe," Foxy," "Voodoo Child, and "Purple Haze," and newer material like "Freedom," "Ezy Ryder," and "Hey Baby" make it even more interesting. Hendrix was obviously fighting an out of tune guitar. Playing in a storm will certainly affect your guitar strings! But...it's the last time he and his group ever played in concert. The festival site was an absolute mess.
