Description

Up for auction we have a rare album by Rev. Joe Freeman of Wise County, VA entitled “Rev. Joe Freeman sings.” This hard-to-find album features Joe Freeman, who was well known for his bluesy, Rockabilly style gospel music and was a well known preacher and songwriter in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia and beyond. Songs from this album can be found on YouTube, to get an idea of the type of style of gospel music found on this album. Freeman was assisted by Grady Burton & Hubert, Jeanette, James and Jack Cooke from the Cooke duet!
