Description
Up for auction is a very rare Prince Buster 45. Titles written on the labels are "Wings of a Dove" by Prince Buster b/w "Please Mr. Sun" (instrumental).
The side featuring "Wings of a Dove" has the following machine stamped dead wax number : ZSP53486 -1A. The style of the stamping is exactly the same as records pressed by Columbia Records, USA. Take a look at the dead wax numbers on any 60s era Columbia 45, and you'll see what I mean.
The side featuring "Please Mr. Sun" has the following machine stamped dead wax number : PB 112. Strangely enough, the font of the stamping is unlike that found on the dead wax of "Wings of a Dove".
Not surprisingly, I'm having no luck whatsoever finding any info on this release. It's definitely a one of a kind item.
The labels are plain white with writing in pen on both sides. The vinyl itself is VG+.
