Description
Up for sale here is an extremely rare first pressing of The Velvet Underground’s self-titled LP released in 1969 on MGM Records. This is the very first East Coast pressing in the United States with Lou Reed’s “Closet Mix”. Also has the misprint time stamp on the vinyl center for “What Goes On”. Vinyl itself is in VG+ condition. It is a bit dusty, and there is one noticeable 1-2inch scuff on the B-Side that DOES NOT affect playback. The B-Side has the name “Gary Brokaw” written in pen on the vinyl center (see photo 9). The LP jacket does have ring wear, signs of aging, minor corner creases, and the name “Brokaw” written in pen on the backside (see photo 3). There is also a hole punch on the bottom left corner of the jacket and inner sleeve (see photo 5). Please view the photos carefully to see all the flaws I’ve listed. Overall this is an amazing copy and it is highly sought after. Especially this complete first press edition. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY.
