Description
nw_ecpHere is a very rare Michigan garage single by The Fugitives on D-TOWN 1044 : On Trial b/w Let’s Go On With It. This was the second single put out by the group on the Detroit R & B label D-TOWN featuring a young Gary Quackenbush. A-side is an uptempo garage rocker while the flip is a cool instrumental. Both cuts were written by Dave Leone, owner of the HIDEOUT record label and teen clubs at the time. Very few copies of this record were ever sold and rarely turn up even around Detroit. This band would eventually go on to record the famous ‘Fugitives Live At Dave’s Hideout’ LP and members would later go on to form The Scot Richardson Case. Labels are clean and the record play grades a NICE VG on the A-side and VG on the B-side. Very rich Detroit rock history with this obscure single! Please click on the microphone icon to hear an unaltered soundclip of the actual record being offered here. Please see my other auctions.
Grading Scale:
NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.
VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.
VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.
VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.
VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.
G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.
Fair/Poor = I do not ever sell records at this grade, but they would be cracked, severly warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
I grade strictly by Goldmine's standards. Please ask questions before you bid. I accept Pay Pal or M.O.
