PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SCARCE 1965 FIRST PRESS ...IN *BOLD* MONO wth the big boom punch in the production which differs from the stereo release...
Gotten to be hard to find, the jangle-rock sounds of the first Turtles LP. Here's thee original 1965 first printing by the happening Los Angles jangle harmonies of the TURTLES...
For this LP - the then unknown, grubby jangle-guitar garage band featuring two lead singers & striking vocal harmonies, were called The Turtles, and their first 1965 album was a great listen. Crowning songs by Dylan and P.F. Sloan -- they fit nicely into a group of similar Sunset Strip bands that were achieving success traveling down the same path. "Like a Rolling Stone" was meant to be a hit for them but Dylan squashed that when he grabbed Al Kooper and his rolling Hammond organ. Singer Howard Kaylan showed his talent by penning strong songs like "Let the Cold Winds Blow" and "A Walk in the Sun". Early jangle guitars similar to the early Byrds describes the sound. This also includes a superior version (over hitbound Barry McGuire's) in "Eve of Destruction”. Highlights include, of course, the smash "It Ain't Me Babe" that put the Turtles in public attention and high up the charts -- but also catchy cool grooves like "Wanderin' Kind" which leads off the album, getting the listeners focus as to the great sounds within ("It Was A Very Good Year" "Let Me Be" etc.)

CONDITION: The Cover: is stiff and solid with tight seams. Only an overall touch of light previous handling, minor shelf rub, rates "EX" (excellent) to M- considerably collection worthy -- has the original colors, with no bends, no writing.
The Vinyl: all glossy, has some light top surface hairlines, visually VG++ minor top surface hairline scuff here or there, vastly clean and clear, plays with excellent audio results ...and both MONO labels are clean! Comes with the original plastic inner sleeve
