Description
Terje Rypdal - Bleak House, Karussell 2915053 1974. A stunning example of this brilliant album out of Norway in top close to near mint to near mint condition visually with just a couple of feint paper scuffs on the a-side, one mark on A3, and two handling marks on B1 otherwise looking amazingly clean.
Blurring the lines between avant-garde acid jazz and psych, mod and beat sounds, this starts out with a melancholy mod beat number that has a slow tempo, going into psych acid jazz before the great loud raucous jazz second track, and then the quiet haunting clarinet and piano third track of the a-side which eventually morphs into very loud chaotic free jazz. There are a couple of light pops on the fade of A1 to the in-between of the tracks and a light crackle/ hiss on the quiet start to A3 with a light crackle and pops at the end of the side.
Side two also has three tracks, the first is the longest with an amazing brass heavy psych jazz sound, the second is abstract/ avant-garde jazz that sounds almost like modern day post-rock which is incredible for the era, and the third and final number is an acoustic free folk track. The side plays amazing, just a feint background crackle and pops at the end of the side and one pop near the start of the side otherwise playing perfect. Happy to combine postage at cost.
