I have a very rare misprint version of the RSD Elvis Presley "My Happiness" release. As you know these sold out everywhere.
What you may not know is Jack White replicated these down to the last detail. They've been called "virtually indistinguishable" from the original acetate.
The original label on the existing copy Jack White paid $300,000 for, Sun Records used the back of some "Prisonaires" Sun Record labels they had sitting around the office in 1953. In proper fashion JW had the labels made JUST AS THEY WERE ON THE ORIGINAL, even though nobody would be able to ever see it since it was pressed to the record.
As luck would have it this record was pressed with TWO labels on the A side, with one half unglued so you can actually SEE the Sun Records label! There is a properly pressed label beneath it as well, as seen in the pictures.
THIS IS ONE OF THE ONLY EXAMPLES YOU WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SEE THE DETAILS THAT WENT INTO MAKING THIS, and a rarity in that it is a mistake, in this case a very beneficial one. The first label does have bubbling, but is well attached and not in danger of coming off unless roughly handled.
The record has never been played, as I lucked into this copy and have one I'm keeping for my collection. It's graded at NM.
I don't think you'll find another one quite like this.
