Description

You are bidding on one of the Holy Grail of classical music – MICHAEL RABIN MOSAICS with Leon Pommers on piano. No need to extol the sound ,demand , and collectabilty of this extraordinary LP. The last stereo version sold for $1700+ in May of this year.

This is the original first stereo early pressing on Capitol SP-8506 Canadian pressing ( stamper D1/D1 ) .

Cover is VG++ with a small SP8506 written on the top left corner. Other than that, there are no other markings, no seam splits and cover is bright and clean.

Visually the vinyl is a very glossy VG++ with a couple of small scuff marks ( not audible) and a very small manufacturing dimple ( not audible).

Play graded on a high end Koetsu Onyx cartridge, sound for the most part is loud and clean. You will occasionally hear the odd pop and  tick ( a little more noticeable on the softer passages) but not obtrusive in preventing you from enjoying this rare LP.

If you are expecting this to have a dead quiet background then please pass up on it and get the digitalized emotionless sterile CD version.

In my experience all vinyl – even those that have never been played ( sealed ) and even today’s reissues all  will   have some background surface noise.

Buyer pays $25 shipping to the US  or $65 overseas by expresspost with a tracking .

I know it sounds expensive but that’s  less than my actual shipping cost.

Paypal demands that I have a tracking # to be protected. Without it they will automatically refund a  buyer who claims that they never received the LP . Unfortunately there are a few unscrupulous buyers  know that and file an" item never received dispute"   get a complete refund from paypal if there is no tracking #  This has happened in the past and I was out hundreds of dollars. This is paypal's policy , not mine.
