Given to me by a record store owner as a gift. He had it for "as long as [he] could remember". Only selling due to hard times.

Cover...

Album still has the original shrink wrap - only, the bottom edge has a few strips of cellophane tape strips to keep it together / from tearing. Otherwise, the front and back cover have never been touched so they're NM-. Corners have no indentations. The edges overall look excellent, but have some wear, particularly the open edge.

Labels...

The first disc label has the track listings written in permanent fine tip marker on both sides. Store owner who gave it to me said he got it that way. The second disc label is completely blank. See pictures for greater detail on both.

Media...

The discs are all in EX+ condition. Some light, whispy marks from being placed in the (original?) paper sleeves, which themselves are in VG condition aside from some stains. No major scratches whatsoever or anything to effect play. There is one tiny imperfection in the pressing on Dazed and Confused that didn't effect play the first time I listened to it. The second time it skipped ever so slightly. I think the difference was my tracking weight. The mark is like a little dimple the size of a dull pencil head. Never seen anything like that before but then again, this is a 'backdoor' pressing.

The original recording itself is a little rough, if you've never heard a bootleg recording before - don't be surprised to find it's not crisp and in perfect mixed stereo like modern day recordings! But it perfectly captures the raw zeppelin sound. Tracks like "Going to California" and "Stairway to Heaven" come in particularly nice. The discs themselves are almost NM. No skips, jumps, or major clicks aside from what has been mentioned.

Other notes...

I've only played the album through twice on my hi-fi system with top of the line equipment. The intricacies and nuances of the performance are amazing. Different guitar licks, vocalizations, and drum improvisation than what is expected make this a worthy listen to even the most casual Zeppelin fan.

As mentioned, I take my collection and listening seriously.. if you would like me to send this album with the discs Ultrasonically cleaned with Tergikleen and in professional grade sleeves, let me know. I do this for all my albums, but have left this one as I received it a couple years ago. Otherwise it will come as pictured.
