Description
Here's a RARE January 1969 pressing of Led Zeppelin 1 with the Atco style purple and tan label. This mislabel is a tough find on the collector's market. My particular copy has a "vg-" cover with light corner wear and a top seam split. No ring wear, staining, or other such common flaws. The album has definitely been enjoyed with marks evident throughout when viewing the album under bright light. (Please read below) This does include the original inner sleeve advertising other Atlantic acts. This is a rare pickup and any Zeppelin completist should have this one in their collection.
* I'm amending this, as I just played Side A for the first time in many years, and it plays quite well. No skips - great sound. Just some pops and clicks in quieter passages. Overall, a good listening experience. I can state that Zeppelin is meant to be heard on vinyl!
Side B is equally stunning. I'm thinking a lot of the minor issues that do exist could be rectified with a good cleaning.
