Description
For auction is a sealed copy of Crystal Clear Records CCS 7003, a direct to disc audiophile recording with Arthur Fielder and the Boston Pops playing Tchhaikovsky's Capriccio Italien and Rimsky-Koraskov's Capriccio Espagnol. This record is factory sealed, never opened or played. Crystal Clear was a small audiophile record company that made Direct to Disc recordings back in the late 1970s. Crystal Clear records have a mixed reputation, some are superb, among the best ever produced, and some have excessive surface noise. This album is known for being clearly in the first group. If you go on the audiophile forum Audio Asylum, in the Vinyl section, and search for this album you will find dozens of references to it's superb sonics.
This record comes from the collection of an elderly audiophile in my family. This record was printed in 1978.
Please check my other auctions. I will be selling two hundred premium records over the next month. All these recordings come from an elderly audiophile/music lover in my family who took meticulous care of his albums. These include RCA Living Stereo, RCA Victrola, EMI, London ffss, Decca, Phillips, Argo, Chesky, and Reference Recordings. There will be several rare and desirable recordings.
I pack carefully and ship fast. I ship albums in special LP shipping cartons. I will combine shipping costs.
Shipping in the US is via US Media Mail.
Shipping to other countries is the actual cost of shipping along with a $1 fee to cover the cost of the shipping carton and packing supplies. I absorb the cost of insurance on any album over $50.
Payment is via Paypal only. I expect payment within 12 hours of the completion of an auction and will offer items to secondary bidders if payment is not received within 24 hours. I use Paypal because it speeds transactions and allows me to ship quickly.
