? 3:02 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5ZLg70kgv8Jack Haskell had quite an extensive career and is probably best known in America as a TV announcer and a regular on the Jack Parr and Johnny Carson TV shows. He started out as a vocalist with Les Brown in the 1940s (with Doris Day) and sang on several of Les Brown's Columbia records. He cut solo records for Decca, Coral and Jubilee in the 1950s.
Recorded on Thunderbrd Records this is another version of the theme song from the David Niven film 'Around The World In Eighty Days' given a good treatment here by Jack. In America the song was called ‘Around The World (In Eighty Days)’, even though the (In Eighty Days) phrase is never mentioned. Another song from the film - "Away Out West" makes this a fine double header for London
