Description

Here is an amazing rarity - one of the earliest disc records to be made in England, sung by a top International Stage performer, singing a great song by Music Hall singer and composer Harry Fragson, and in astounding condition for an 112 year old record! Maurice Farkoa, Syrian-born star of both European and American theatre, sings Harry Fragson's hit song 'Les Blondes' on a single-sided, announced, 7" Berliner no. 2129, recorded in London on 19th October 1898, barely 2 months after Fred Gaisberg arrived in England. Gaisberg's friendship with Farkoa is covered in his autobiography 'Music On Record'.

CONDITION: E, one of the best-condition Berliners I have ever seen, very shiny surface. Farkoa has autographed the wax.
