Here's your chance to get a Rare piece of Jazz history that is hardly ever seen if at all. (Most record books don't even list PHILO as a label for Lester Young Trio--but here it is from 1942. This is the rare record label PHILO and this one is Jazz music from the 40's. This is Norman Granz first record on the Philo label and used Young, Cole, and Callender for this record. Several years later Young left Granz and join Basie again and there after recorded some great music on the Aladdin label. There is an aladdin version of this record and cover, but that Aladdin label didn't come out till 1953 and was a 10" record and was Aladdin label #705 so the album that I have for sale was released over 10 years before the Aladdin version. Being over 60 years old this record set is in outstanding condition and I've had this for only the last twenty years nd have played it maybe twice.
