JOHNNY KIDD & THE PIRATES "SHAKIN' ALL OVER" / "PLEASE DON'T TOUCH CRUISIN' THE 50's CASB 005 78 RPM ISSUED IN 1997 LIMITED EDITION NUMBER 099 of 300 WITH ALL THE INSERTS UNPLAYED OLD SHOP STOCK
There are some minor marks on the rear of the plain white sleeve - this is common to all Cruisin' 78s and occurred during the Hand Silk Screen Printing process.
"Shakin' All Over" which was a Number 1 in 1960 was recorded at ABBEY ROAD and features the fantastic lead guitar of JOE MORRETI who also features on another Cruisin' release Vince Taylor's "Brand New Cadillac".

The records are pressed in heavyweight vinyl on an original 1950's machine at EMI. The lacquers used to make the metal masters were cut on an original 50's mono 78rpm lathe and are complete with a locked eccentric runout groove - this feature is required by early jukeboxes to reject the record. To create an authentic rich 78rpm sound we were lucky with the help of Abbey Road Studios to track down a Multi Award winning engineer who had worked for many of the UK's leading record labels including Columbia and Top Rank during the late 50's. With his skills and using original equipment we were able to once again produce true 78rpm records of the highest quality.
THIS RECORD CAN BE MIXED IN WITH SHELLAC 78's ON A JUKEBOX WITH A 78 RPM NEEDLE - IT IS NOT AN INFERIOR MICROGROOVE PRESSING. IT CAN ALSO BE PLAYED WITH A 33/45 NEEDLE ON A RECORD PLAYER.
