Description: Up for your consideration is the 2nd in a series of 9 Hindi Bollywood Lps, this one music from R.D. Burman for Krishna Shah's Shalimar. I've seen this type of music described as Hindi Bollywood. The cover notes: "Panavision, 70MM, Stereophonic Sound, An International Suspense-caper movie." The labels note: "Mfd. in India" and "Polydor of India."

Several unique things about this item: Firstly, the record retains the original shine with up to some very, very slight marks, grading by sight in normal room light. I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint. If you're that kind of collector, and after a recent unpleasant experience with a buyer from Malaysia, let me suggest this auction is not for you. I don't claim this record is mint. I did take the time to play the entire record and found the tracks to audibly average better than 1/3 of the way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).

Labels: Orange with black/white print. No pen/pencil marks, no stickers, a few spindle marks. Trailing wax: Side 1: "2392147A" and "4-10-78". Side 2: "2392147B" and "4-10-78" Inner sleeve: A clear, plastic sleeve, starting to flake due to age. A different generic sleeve can be included, if requested. Cover: Lightweight as compared to other LP covers. Corners moderately worn with a few creased tips. No seam splits, no stickers. "50/-" written in small letters in ink back upper left corner. Rate the cover VG to VG+(excellent). Comments: . I found the tracks to audibly average better than 1/3 of the way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint. An excellent addition to your Hindi / Bollywood collection. Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

• NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
• 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
• 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
• VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
• VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
• G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship Lp's in 14"x14"x6" boxes padded in styrofoam. Weight with box is about 1 pound 6 oz. Shipping is: $2.77 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.80 box/tape/packing + $.80 delivery confirmation = $5.40.

Buyer pays shipping/handling. Standard method within U.S. is Media Rate, $5.40. This includes delivery confirmation which enables you to track shipping of your package online.
