MC5 Kick Out the Jams (Elektra, EKS-74042, 1969, Stereo)

Rare: white label promo, stereo, copy of the MC5's auspicious debut. "Brothers and Sisters" substituted on the title track, as was the case with all promo issues, but John Sinclair's liner notes in the original, uncensored format! Rare! The vinyl and labels are VG+ to VG++: the vinyl has some paper scuff, and a few hairline scratches but played through with powerful and largely clean sound - some soft clicks on S2, a little light fuzz here and there, and two very tolerable pops at the end of "Ramblin' Rose". Very, very good sound. Clean labels with fairly light wear. Original Elektra inner sleeve. A VG+ to VG++ outer sleeve: mild rubbing to the edges and corners, a hint of flaking to the spine, a touch of ring shadow to the interior but very solid with no splits and quite clean. A very, very decent copy of an important LP which is quickly becoming hard to find in the early promo format!
