RARE Fat Boys 2012 Pizza Box Set Ltd Edtn (2,000) Pic Disc + Booklet VG+/VG+

Rare limited edition of 2,000 "Pizza Box Set" from 2012! FAT BOYS - FAT BOYS Released exclusively for Record Store Day (RSD) Black Friday on November 23, 2012, this novelty box set was designed as a high-concept tribute to the iconic 1984 debut album by Prince Markie Dee, Kool Rock-Ski, and Darren "Buff the Human Beat Box" Robinson. Housed inside a custom-branded 12" cardboard pizza delivery box, the 12" album itself was pressed as an eye-popping, full-color picture disc depicting a pepperoni pizza on Side A and the baked pizza crust on Side B. The set leaned heavily into nostalgia marketing to celebrate Kurtis Blow's classic early-hip-hop production, packing the pizza box with an extensive 8.5" x 11" 20-page booklet with liner notes and rare archival photographs, and "Bonus Material" card. 2012 US release by Tin Pan Apple, catalog #s TPA-101 and TPA101LP, barcode #120661010115. Limited edition of 2,000 released for RSD Black Friday including a 12" picture disc, 20-page booklet featuring liner notes and rare photographs and a "Bonus Material" card (business card size). Packaging/sleeve grade VG+. The cardboard "pizza box" measures approximately 13 inches (33 cm) by 12.5 inches (32 cm) by 2 inches (5.5 cm) and is in excellent condition with a small wrinkle at the left side of the box top and minor corner ding at the side of the upper left corner. The booklet grades in VG+ condition, looking barely handled over the years and is primarily not in NM condition because of a sticker mark on the back. The original "outer sleeve" for the picture disc is just a clear PVC plastic sleeve and is included but the disc itself will ship in a new archival audiophile sleeve. Vinyl grades VG+. Plays through perfectly crisp and clear with no issues or deficiencies. The vinyl surface itself is very clean - side A shows a few light surface marks/hairlines/insertion marks under magnification and bright light while side B looks entirely clean, though the picture disc print makes it difficult to see any hairlines even under magnification. Either way, nothing that may be present on the disc surface caused any playback issues during play testing.
