Description
WOW, WHAT A GREAT and RARE VINYL LP ENTITLED " MARILYN MONROE " (AM 13008 MONAURAL) released by ASCOT Records (United Artists) in 1963! THIS ALBUM FEATURES SONGS MARILYN SANG AND THE INSTRUMENTALS FROM HER FAMOUS MOTION PICTURES (see Photos of front and back cover for details).
The vinyl shows little or no signs of past play and produces an absolute perfect and flawless Mono listening experience without any surface noise or other defect. It is noted that the very heavy and quality vinyl does have a slight WARP that apparently does not impact the sound based on a complete test play. Because of the slight warp we rate this vinyl as Excellent (EX) rather than NM using Goldmine grading standards. The original generic inner sleeve is included.
The outer jacket features a delightful color photo of Marilyn on the front which would be a great candidate to frame for one so inclined. The back cover is very clean with a great black and white photo of Marilyn and written narrative that states that the songs on the album were taken from the sound track of " Some Like it Hot " plus a number of sides that she made for records. The jacket condition is very nice overall with some softening at the corners including the bottom right corner that has a very small bend. Seams are not split and the side seam is legible. We rate this great jacket as Excellent (EX) using Goldmine standards. A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this gem for another 54+ years!
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from jacket during shipment to help guard against seam damage to the outer jacket.
