Rock 'n' roll No 2 / HMV CLP 1105
Here is one of Elvis Presley’s rarest records, “Elvis Presley’s No. 2”.
This is my father’s record bought at the time of its release in 1956.
The record labels on both sides are in excellent condition and I have attached photo close ups so you can see this.
The record appears to be in very good condition with a good sheen to it and no obvious marks. I have not been able to play the record (who owns a turntable nowadays!) to comment on how it plays, however I have added good photographs at a high resolution so that you can zoom in and see for yourselves the condition of the record.
The cover is in very good condition for its age. As was common with teenagers in those days, a strip of selotape has been placed around the leading edge of the record to protect it. This has obviously aged and browned over the years but no attempts have been made to remove it meaning the sleeve is intact with no rips/tears.
I will send this record by recorded post ensuring that stiffeners are included to prevent breakages.
