Charles Sheffield "It's Your Voodoo Working" b/w "Rock 'N Roll Train" - Excello 45-2200. From 1961, rare original pressing 45 in outstanding EX condition. In dead wax area on Side A: Sheldon EX-2200-A 17 / Side B: Sheldon EX-2200-B 17. Plays loud and clear! You can listen to samples of both sides on the audio player above. The Sheldon in the dead wax runoff grooves is a semi-cursive script pressing stamp.

ATTENTION BIDDERS AND PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS! I've been informed by a couple of people that in their opinion this is a re-issue pressing, most likely from the early 1970's when Excello was re-issuing some of their back catalog. I don't have any definitive info on exactly when this was pressed but it does not appear to be the 1961 original. It sure has the look, feel, and heavy weight of a 60's pressing but it's possible they could have duplicated that at the pressing plant if they had wanted to. It weighs 1.5 oz and the edge is 1mm thick, not the usual specs for a typical 70's pressing. Also the blank vinyl in the lead-in and run-off groove areas is not smooth as glass but a very slightly rougher surface, like a vintage pressing if that means anything. It is an awesome sounding record. Very likely, they used the same stampers as the first pressings. All of the numbers and the Sheldon stamp are identical. In any case this issue with the label variation seems to be very scarce. It most definitely is not a bootleg pressing. So, be that as it is, feel free to retract your bids or whatever you'd like to do. I apologize for any inconvenience.
