Description
RARE Canadian 45 from 1965 BY THE CANADIAN SQUIRES . Record is released on the APEX label as number76964. Songs are "UH-UH-UH" and "LEAVE ME ALONE'" . Record is VG +TO VG++. The Uh-uh-uh side has only light paper scuffs at most and the other side has one small scratch (1/4") that you can feel-otherwise again only light scuffs . Record was sold to me by a well known collector/vendor on ebay 10 years ago as M- so you know it looks good.
I took it to a friend at who owns a Music store in Edmonton to get an independent grade and price point. He says he would grade it 6 out of 10 (Closer to VG++ than VG+) and that it plays like a 7 or 8. I played it and you don't here any noise except for a slight click on the Leave me alone side for a few seconds where the only small mark you can see with the naked eye is ( I didn't hear it first time I looked so it is slight). . Record looks great. it has a small mark on label on UH-UH-UH side-see scans.
AS most collectors know, this is a monster rare Canadian collectable with strong ties to Dylan and the Band - It is the group's only record-the Canadian Squires evolved from Ronnie Hawkins back-up band (the Hawks). Both sides are written by Robbie Robertson. Levon and the Hawks cut the single under the name The Canadian Squires in March 1965. The single was recorded in New York and released on Apex Records in Canada and on Ware Records in the United States.
NOTE: SHIPPING TO CANADA $15, TO USA $19 AND OVERSEAS $35. Cost is estimated. I will only charge actual cost. I will only send with insurance and a tracking number because of the value of the record. I tried to change the ebay mailing section to reflect this but can't for some reason.
All records are strictly graded and come with a 100% money back guarantee. All records are original, first pressings unless otherwise noted. If the record is an LP, EP or has a picture sleeve, the record is graded first, followed by the cover or sleeve.
Grading is based on the following criteria
Mint = store stock new
Mint- = near new with only one or two small insignificant defects
VG++ = extremely nice. Would be Mint-, except for a couple of light scratches or scuffs, which do not affect play
VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.
VG = a well-used record that still sounds OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.
VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.
