See my other auctions this week for a bunch of rare Beatles items! Here’s a rare alternate version of what many consider to be the Beatles’ finest single. It’s the original 1967 PROMO 45 of Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever. This promo copy features an otherwise unavailable mix of Penny Lane, with the extra notes from the pocket trumpet at the end! In addition, Paul’s vocal is louder than in the regular mix. This is absolutely 100% an ORIGINAL copy with the asterisk in the trailoff. The label has sticker residue, a few light pen marks, and a “KVBM” rubber stamp on the label… all history from the radio station where it was originally used. The vinyl grades VG-, quite a bit of scuffing, but nothing heavy or deep… it plays fine! Buyer pays $3.00 in the US, shipped via media mail. INTERNATIONAL BIDS WELCOME.
