Description

This is a beautiful stock copy of a very important 45 for Beach Boys collectors: Basil Swift and the Seegrams, "Farmer's Daughter" b/w "Shambles" (Mercury 72386). Features vocals by Danny Hutton, who also gives this record dynamic arrangement and direction. The A-side is a Brian Wilson composition, which (along with the song "Lana") may at one time have been intended as a Brian Wilson solo project. Instead, the song ended up on the Beach Boys LP, "Surfin' U.S.A." After pursuing a brief but creative solo recording career, Danny Hutton formed the band Redwood (later Three Dog Night), and briefly recorded with producer Brian Wilson. A must for Brian Wilson and Beach Boys fans.

Record is in VG+ condition. Some writing on both labels (just a few scribbles) as well as some wear and drill hole (which is commonly found with these hard to find stock copies). Two or three very light scuffs on the A side, a few as well on the B side. Otherwise the vinyl is very glossy and clean.

Thanks for looking, and please check out my other items for more rare and beautiful 45s. I specialize in rare surf, Beach Boys, and Brian Wilson related items.
