Big Maceo Merriweather/John Lee Hooker (Fortune LP 3002).
One of the few blues LPs issued by the Fortune label of Detroit, coupling five sides by pianist Big Maceo Merriweather (his last recordings, from c. 1950) and five by John Lee Hooker.
Leaving Blues/Have You Heard About It?/Strange to Me/Worried Life Blues No. 2/Without You My Life Don't Mean a Thing (Big Maceo)/It's My Own Fault/Juke Bug/Blue for Big Town/Big Fine Woman/Miss Sadie Mae (John Lee Hooker)
Condition: disc shows very slight wear and some paper scuffs but is generally excellent. Jacket bumped/bruised at corners, tight 1 1/2" slit in bottom edge, incipient 1" slit in top edge, slightly grubby here and there, but generally very good for its age. A better than reasonably good copy of this ultra-scarce item.
