Description

Houston Boines, Superintendent Blues/Monkey Motion (Blue Horizon 45-1006) (1965).

UK collector reissue of RPM 364 (recorded 1952). Important early downhome blues recordings made by (and featuring on piano) Ike Turner, with Charley Booker (guitar).

One of an early set of limited-edition 45rpm releases on the Blue Horizon label.
Only 99 copies were pressed of this item. In its original plain paper sleeve.

From the collection of the noted UK blues writer – and Blue Horizon co-founder – Neil Slaven.

Condition: an immaculate copy that has been in the owner’s possession since it was first issued. Paper sleeve slightly tanned at edges and creased.

Very rare.
